Quarry operations which include activities such as loading, hauling and crushing all involve heavy and potentially dangerous machines. Proximity Detection Systems (PDS) help quarry owners and managers keep a safe distance between machines and employees, as well as between the machines themselves.

As mining operations, quarries also need to observe strict health and safety regulations to address the risk of collisions between pedestrians and equipment.

Booyco Electronics’ PDS uses Radio Frequency (RF) and Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies in surface applications, alerting both pedestrians and machine operators if they are dangerously close.
